Last May, I predicted that Amazon stock&a;mdash;in which I have no financial interest&a;mdash;would hit $2,000 a share in 2019. Here are five reasons why I still think that will happen.

Last May, the shares hit $1,000 and I predicted that they&s;d double&a;nbsp;by 2019. That&s;s because the stock had been going up at a 40% rate. But on March 13, Amazon hit $1,588 a share and it&s;s been rising at a slower 34% rate this year. I think it will sustain that growth and hit $2,000&a;nbsp;next year.

The &l;a href=&q;https://www.wsj.com/graphics/amazon-the-making-of-a-giant/&q; target=&q;_blank&q;&g;&l;em&g;Wall Street Journal&l;/em&g;&l;/a&g; wrote about how Amazon became a $770 billion giant, and it did a great job of capturing many of the reasons. It also left off a few essential elements.
