Shares of NVIDIA Corporation (NSDQ:NVDA)registered an uptick yesterday after a week of correction, driven by all the excitement and anticipation around CES 2017. While there’s no disputing the fact that Nvidia looks poised for a good run in the long term, a couple of headwinds that investors seem to be ignoring, could potentially stall the stock’s stellar rally in the near term. And that’s not including some of the concerns raised in Citron Research’s bearish call last week.

The return on equity has improved slightly when compared to the same quarter one year prior. This can be construed as a modest strength in the organization. Compared to other companies in the Machinery industry and the overall market, PACCAR INC’s return on equity exceeds that of both the industry average and the S&P 500.

Despite the weak revenue results, PCAR has outperformed against the industry average of 21.6%. Since the same quarter one year prior, revenues slightly dropped by 1.6%. The declining revenue has not hurt the company’s bottom line, with increasing earnings per share.

Wunderlich’s Eric Beder claims there’s a “worldwide power grab at PVH.” He explains:

We are reiterating our Buy rating and $125 price target and raising our FY18 and FY19 EPS projections after PVH Corp. (PVH) handily registered top and bottom line upside for 4QFY17, driven by international upside at both Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Despite continued FX-driven weakness, the international operations registered solid top and bottom line growth, as the company’s fashion brands continue to resonate and take market share. We believe that with strong international results remaining in force into 1Q, PVH is once again positioned to drive solid upside to guidance. Further, we believe the company has continued to take share in the domestic markets. We view PVH as one of the best positioned plays in our universe and reiterate our Buy rating on PVH.

PVH’s market capitalization rose to $7.8 billion today from $7.2 billion yesterday.

The big casinos certainly want to spend big. Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) says a new integrated resort in Japan will cost anywhere from $6 billion to $10 billion, two to three times more than it spent on building its brand new French-themed Parisian resort in Macau. MGM Resorts (NYSE:MGM) says it, too, could spend $10 billion for a new casino in Japan, quadruple the cost of its MGM Cotai that’s scheduled to open later this year. Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN) hasn’t put a price tag on it yet, though it spent over $4 billion to open the Palace in Macau last August, but CEO Steve Wynn says the opportunity is “thoroughly delicious.”
