Best Casino Stocks For 2019

Last week Renewable Energy & Power, Inc. (OTC PINK : RBNW ), a diversified corporation with markets in energy-saving technologies of LED lighting, solar and wind energy, announced a large San Francisco Bay Area electronic assembly corporation has approved the installation of 1,275 LED lights for their entire main campus.

This is the third such announcement in as many months by the Las Vegas based company. It got me thinking about what the company does and how LED lighting can impact a business’ bottom line as much as it contributes to reducing emissions and the effects of global warming. But what about LED lights in RBNW’s backyard? How much of the Vegas Strip is LED? Well, it turns out, quite a bit.

Over a year ago three of Nevada’s largest casino companies – MGM Resorts, Wynn, and Las Vegas Sands – announced plans to source renewable energy for their hotels, a move driven both by increasing demand for responsible energy use from the companies that rent their conference halls, and a surplus of cheap power from solar farms in Nevada and California. MGM Resorts had already implemented an ambitious energy conservation effort by replacing 1.3 million light bulbs in its properties with LEDs.

Top 10 Heal Care Stocks To Buy For 2018

A Company’s Claim for Success

Since 2007, Cirrus Logic’s (CRUS) CEO, Jason Rhode, began moving the company he now managed forward following a set of principles. One of these principles, “target fast growing markets,” begins the cycle of principles. Continuing the cycle, “engage tier-one market leaders”; “develop meaningful engineering relationships;” “design best-in-class custom, semi-custom and general market products;” “expand with more content, more boxes;” and ending the cycle, “leverage best in class IP.” The cycle starts over with “fast growing markets.” The opening principle of the cycle must be on track else the rest of the principles sink to meaningless.

Judging Cirrus’s success at achieving vision years before hand is paramount. In a recent publication about Cirrus, we quoted Rhode’s comment regarding business development cycles and time. Product development and acceptance is a two year or more process, which, in a high speed and quickly-changing product feature marketplace, two-year development time represents almost a forever lag.

That’s good news for the industry as a whole — ranging from Tesla to General Motors Co.  (GM) , Ford Motor Co.  (F) , Volkswagen (VLKAY) and others.

To wit, the largest automotive factory in the world is considered to be Volkswagen’s (OTCPK:VLKAY) Wolfsburg plant, which has been in operation since around the time of World War II. It makes approximately 920,000 cars per year, including Golf, Tiguan and Touran.

  • [By ]

Volkswagen AG (VLKAY) led the Dax higher, gaining 1.02% to 178.82, after the German carmaker reshuffled its top management, naming former BMW AG (BMWYY) executive Herbert Diess as CEO, replacing Matthias Mueller, in the company’s biggest management change since the diesel emissions scandal in 2015.

  • [By ]

The ‘Jolt’ investing tip of the day actually goes out to C-suite executives across the word: Always watch your back because someone is always vying for the top gig. Reading the various Volkswagen (VLKAY) CEO shake-up news, it’s pretty clear new CEO Herbert Diess undermined his now former boss Matthias M眉ller. He reportedly built up a base of support among board members and shareholders to appoint him as CEO, despite M眉ller’s success turning around VW after the emissions scandal. Crazy, but hey it’s vicious out there.

  • [By ]

Of course, major automakers want to make bold statements to seem current and relevant, so it is best to approach these headlines with some level of speculation. For example, with the recent diesel emission scandals, Volkswagen (OTCPK:VLKAY) has been put under the spotlight to dramatically shift its business to new energy vehicles. The company has announced that it is targeting sales of 2-3 million electric vehicles by 2025 through 30 all-electric car offerings.

Investigative reporter Carl Bernstein says the task of reporting on President Trump’s fitness for office is a challenge for journalists.

“We’re in a real constitutional crisis, in an unprecedented place, where we as a country and where we as journalists, have never been before, in which a huge part of the citizenry of our country and the leadership of the country in Congress, privately and in public, openly question the fitness and stability of the president of the United States,” Bernstein told CNN’s Brian Stelter on “Reliable Sources” Sunday.

He added: “So it raises a great question: How do we report on this reality?”

Bernstein, a CNN contributor, urged journalists to dig in to the topic. While he suggested that all outlets should report on the issue, he also singled out the conservative Fox News — the president’s favorite channel.

“This is a great challenge for Fox News because they have the kind of credibility with Republicans in Congress that perhaps other news organizations don’t have,” Bernstein said. “This is a chance to show that they can be fair and balanced.”

Hot Stocks To Invest In 2019: Akorn, Inc.(AKRX)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

Monday wasn’t a good day for the stock market, as most major benchmarks gave up early gains to finish lower. Investors continued to be nervous about interest rates, which appear to be on the rise as a strong earnings season continues. Consistently climbing oil prices also have had a mixed impact on market sentiment, with energy investors generally liking the trend while others worry about the potential inflationary impact that higher costs could bring. Adding to the gloom was bad news about some individual companies that sent their shares sharply lower. Chicago Bridge & Iron (NYSE:CBI), Akorn (NASDAQ:AKRX), and Flotek (NYSE:FTK) were among the worst performers on the day. Here’s why they did so poorly.

  • [By Maxx Chatsko]

BeforeBayer(NASDAQOTH: BAYRY)arrived onto the scene, I viewedMonsanto(NYSE: MON)as an intriguing growth stock. It has a rich history of delivering value to shareholders and continues to hold a dominant technological edge over key competitors in crop protection products, seeds, and traits. While little has changed its promising pipeline and portfolio, the pending acquisition throws a wrench in anyone’s plans to start or add to a position. Uncertainty stemming from the merger provides several terrible reasons to buy Monsanto at this time.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

The last twelve months haven’t been kind to Praxair (PX) and Air Products & Chemicals (APD), but UBS analyst John Roberts and team argue that’s about to change, as they upgrade their shares to Buy from Neutral arguing that their earnings can withstand a slowing global economy:

In our view, the two stocks are more alike than different. NTM P/Es are within ~0.5 pts of each other. Both stocks have declined ~20% from their historical highs the largest corrections in 20+ years aside from the financial crisis…

Industrial gas stocks have normally grown through changes in FX, oil & China demand within normal historical ranges. And investor concerns around China forAir Products & Chemicals may still prove much bigger than reality. Nevertheless, the combination of FX & oil sector impacts on Praxair, and FX & China issues for Air Products & Chemicals, have been much larger than previously seen. With oil already down, the dollar already appreciated, & China concerns already heightened we believe forward basis would appear to carry only normal risks (& lower if FX & oil are mean-reverting, which some theories support).

Normal high single digit EPS growth projected for both in 2017 vs 2016: Four large firms serve 70%+ of the global merchant gas market, and price normally contributes ~2% to growth. Customer older captive units being outsourced contributes another 2%. Secular drivers for oxygen include energy savings (i.e. O2 burns more efficiently than air), life sciences (healthcare & microbial processes) nitrogen secular drivers include increasing purity requirements (food freezing & semiconductors). Topline growth ~2x global GDP more normal, with EPS growth ~2x sales growth due to high fixed costs (key variable costs are inexpensive air & power).

Financial crisis demand drop was only a few %, in line with global GDP drop Most chemicals volumes dropped 10%+ (some 40%

Top 10 Blue Chip Stocks To Watch For 2018

On Tuesday, stocks closed mixed with a preference for small-caps as they took gains in some blue chips and big-cap stocks.

Profit-taking started immediately, with a divergence of better-quality stocks being sold. Banks and other financials fell 1.4% at the close, while technology gained 0.9% and consumer discretionary rose 0.5%. Eight of the eleven sectors of the 500 lost ground. From the election until Monday most investing was based on the expectations that the new administration will increase fiscal spending and lower corporate tax rates. The goal is to raise interest rates, inflation and promote growth.

Yesterday buying slowed slightly, but floor traders said that consolidations are a good sign and that the “reflation trade” will probably resume again. The chief investment officer at Wells Fargo Private Bank was quoted by The Wall Street Journal who said “there’s a level of optimism I haven’t seen in a while.”

Crude oil WTI fell 0.7% at $45.56 per barrel due to an EIA report that crude oil supplies increased by 5.27 million barrels instead of an estimate of 1.48 million.

Top 10 Blue Chip Stocks To Watch For 2018: Ethan Allen Interiors Inc.(ETH)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Dan Caplinger]

Wednesday was a strong day for the stock market, as the Dow finished up nearly 100 points and the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both posted gains as well. Investors remained generally upbeat about the prospects for the U.S. economy in 2017, and a rise in crude oil prices helped lift the energy sector higher during the market session. Yet comments during a press conference from President-elect Donald Trump weighed on the healthcare sector, and some individual stocks took particularly hard hits. Among the worst performers were Perrigo (NYSE:PRGO), Novadaq Technologies (NASDAQ:NVDQ), and Ethan Allen Interiors (NYSE:ETH). Below, we’ll look more closely at these stocks to tell you why they did so poorly.

Top 10 Blue Chip Stocks To Watch For 2018: Transcananda Pipelines Ltd.(TRP)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Dustin Parrett]

TransCanada Corp. (NYSE: TRP) just achieved a perfect Money Morning stock VQScore, making it a profit powder keg waiting to ignite…

TransCanada is a Canadian oil and gas pipeline company, most famous for its development of the Keystone XL pipeline connecting Canadian oil fields to major hubs in the United States.

  • [By Paul Ausick]

That includes pipeline companies like Kinder Morgan Inc. (NYSE: KMI), which already operates a pipeline transporting natural gas from Texas into Mexico, and master limited partnerships (MLPs) Energy Transfer Partners L.P. (NYSE: ETP) and TransCanada Corp. (NYSE: TRP), the company that has (so far) failed to get U.S. approval for its Keystone Pipeline expansion from Canada’s oil sands across the U.S. border.

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

In a number of articles recently, following the US recent revival and potential approval of the previously blocked Keystone XL pipeline, a number of estimates have been provided suggesting a pending boom for the US steel industry is on the horizon (and US steel stocks have reacted in kind). In fact, this optimism, we believe, peaked today when a report from one of our competitors was published claiming that, the keystone XL pipeline could increase line pipe demand by 14.7% for 2 years. The problem here, we believe, rests with the facts that: (a) TransCanada (TRP) has already taken, and paid for, the steel to build the Keystone XL pipeline (the steel currently sits in storage facilities in both Regina, Canada and Arkansas, United States), (b) neither US Steel (X; SELL), AK Steel, Steel Dynamics, or Nucor have the ability to make the specialized steel required for the miles of pipe associated with this project, to include both the thickness and pressure requirements, according to this article from Reuters, and (c) assuming some of the pipe does need replacement, this would likely come from international steel makers who are capable of producing the specialized steel (again, as highlighted in this Reuters article).

  • [By WWW.KIPLINGER.COM]

Energy stocks were driven by a hefty dose of M&A during the third quarter. And that will drive returns for TransCanada Corporation (TRP) during the next one.

  • [By Matthew DiLallo]

Energy infrastructure companies ONEOK (NYSE:OKE) and TransCanada (NYSE:TRP) are both emerging from the energy market downturn as stronger entities. Each made smart acquisitions, with TransCanada buying U.S. gas pipeline company Columbia Pipeline Group, while ONEOK is in the process of gobbling up its MLP,ONEOK Partners (NYSE:OKS). While these deals enhanced the growth profiles of both companies, TransCanada still stands out as the better buy for long-term income investors. Here’s why.

  • [By Matthew DiLallo]

After a series of setbacks in its attempts to build new oil pipelines, Canadian pipeline giant TransCanada (NYSE:TRP) completed a transformation transaction to acquire U.S. natural gas pipeline company Columbia Pipeline Group for $13 billion, which includes the assumption of debt. The key to that deal was that it increased the combined company’s near-term project pipeline to 23 billion Canadian dollars, which supports TransCanada’s ability to increase its dividend by 8% to 10% annually through 2020. After completing that deal, TransCanada made a bid to acquire all of the outstanding units that it did not own of affiliated MLP Columbia Pipeline Partners (NYSE:CPPL) in a transaction valued at $915 million. These acquisitions solidified TransCanada’s natural gas pipeline growth ambitions, enabling it to diversify away from oil pipelines.
