Hot Casino Stocks To Invest In 2019

The casino sector offers a lot of color beyond the characters one expects to find as their customers according to the movies. Local nuances in Macau, Las Vegas, online gambling, and new areas lead to industry-wide changes and company-level opportunities for investors.

Recent headlines have focused on headwinds in Macau – with revenue down for its third consecutive year but perhaps bottoming – potential tailwinds in Japan, and the possibility of liberalization of online gambling and sports betting laws in the US. That said, the general performance of the sector’s leading lights has not been great.

Hot Casino Stocks To Invest In 2019: NOW Inc.(DNOW)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Matthew DiLallo]

The improvement in the oil industry accelerated in the second quarter thanks to higher crude prices, which in turn fueled demand for oil-field equipment. That trend benefited oil-field equipment distributor NOW Inc. (NYSE:DNOW), driving its revenue and earnings up sharply in what is typically a seasonally slower quarter. Because of that, the company expects strong revenue growth to continue for the balance of the year.

Hot Casino Stocks To Invest In 2019: Palo Alto Networks, Inc.(PANW)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Harsh Chauhan]

Palo Alto Networks’ (NYSE:PANW) freshly minted CEO, Nikesh Arora, didn’t get a warm reception from Wall Street thanks to the company’s mixed fiscal third-quarter report a few days after his appointment was announced. The cybersecurity specialist easily beat expectations in the June 4 quarterly report and raised its full-year revenue guidance, but the market apparently took a dim view of its tepid earnings guidance and Arora’s lack of expertise in the cybersecurity space.

Best Undervalued Stocks To Watch Right Now

Amaya’s stock has been on a wild roller coaster ride this year, with catalysts ranging from the CEO (David Baazov) being accused of insider trading, to takeover rumors, to failed mergers and now a formal bid by the aforementioned CEO. There have certainly been a lot of hopes and headaches, but I believe there is a strong underlining long case to be made on Amaya. I wrote a blog post about it the day before it released its Q3 earnings, my basic argument was that it is intrinsically undervalued due to market overreaction on merger discussions and there was still the possibility of a buyout by the former CEO at a significant upside. It seemed like a win-win. Well, when the earnings were released, not only were the results impressive but Baazov launched a formal bid at C$24 per share (approximately US$18) or a 30% upside from the previous Friday’s Close. Whether this private takeover succeeds or not, this stock is poised for significant long term growth.

Amaya (NASDAQ:AYA) runs the world’s largest online gaming (casino) empire in the world. It runs many valuable brand names especially in the online poker business (PokerStars and Fulltilt) but is now increasingly moving into sports betting and other online casino games. It is also the fastest growing and most well positioned to take advantage of online gambling legalization as well as the inherent scalability of the internet. This is a company which has seen its revenues increase from below US$200M just a few years ago to over US$1.2 BILLION for the trailing twelve months. Reviewing its results and its future growth prospects, it will be clear that this firm is undervalued.

PepsiCo is not alone in its quest for product innovation. Over the past five years, the number of incubator programs in the consumer foods sectors has skyrocketed. • [By Chris Hill]

Hill: — that bears further investigation. As a reminder, it was back in May that Campbell Soup said that it was undergoing a strategic review. And, yes, of course, any time you hear, “We’re undertaking a strategic review,” one of the questions on the table is, “Should we be putting ourselves up for sale?” That’s when CEO Denise Morrison said, “Check, please,” and she left. Now, we’re getting reports that Kraft Heinz (NASDAQ:KHC) might be looking to buy Campbell Soup, and shares are up 10%.

Top 5 Energy Stocks To Buy For 2019: Shell Midstream Partners, L.P.(SHLX)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Reuben Gregg Brewer]

There’s an interesting dichotomy here, however. Crestwood was looking to stay financially disciplined, but it also needed to invest to grow. Doing both at the same time is difficult, which is why it partnered up with Con Ed in the Marcellus region, Shell Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:SHLX) and First Reserve in the Delaware Basin, and Williams Partners (NYSE:WPZ) in the Powder River basin. These agreements allow Crestwood to keep expanding its business without having to foot the entire bill for the investments.

  • [By Logan Wallace]

Shell Midstream Partners (NYSE:SHLX) last issued its earnings results on Thursday, August 2nd. The pipeline company reported $0.35 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating the Zacks’ consensus estimate of $0.34 by $0.01. Shell Midstream Partners had a net margin of 74.14% and a negative return on equity of 295.18%. The company had revenue of $129.30 million during the quarter, compared to analysts’ expectations of $120.71 million. During the same period last year, the company posted $0.18 earnings per share. The firm’s quarterly revenue was up 29.8% compared to the same quarter last year. sell-side analysts predict that Shell Midstream Partners LP will post 1.18 earnings per share for the current year.

  • [By Matthew DiLallo]

Most investors have probably heard of energy giants Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS-A) (NYSE:RDS-B), Dominion Energy (NYSE:D), and TransCanada (NYSE:TRP). Fewer, however, are likely familiar with their publicly traded master limited partnerships (MLPs): Shell Midstream Partners (NYSE:SHLX), Dominion Energy Midstream Partners (NYSE:DM), and TC Pipelines (NYSE:TCP). That might be a good thing, as the market has beaten up the latter trio this year, sending their valuations south.

Wall Street suffered a sharp drop on Tuesday, with major benchmarks posting substantial declines in response to a combination of economic factors. The yield on the 10-year Treasury bond climbed above 3% for the first time since 2014, but of greater concern to many market participants were remarks in major corporate earnings reports suggesting that business conditions had likely hit their peak and were poised to deteriorate going forward. With raw materials costs starting to pick up, many manufacturers are reporting inflationary pressures that could hurt profits. Yet even as the broader indexes fell, some individual companies had good news to report. Sanmina (NASDAQ:SANM), Helix Energy Solutions (NYSE:HLX), and Weatherford International (NYSE:WFT) were among the best performers on the day. Here’s why they did so well.

  • [By Paul Ausick]

Weatherford International plc (NYSE: WFT) traded down about 10% Thursday and posted a new 52-week low of $2.63 after closing Wednesday at $2.93. The stock’s 52-week high is $7.09. Volume was around 43 million, about double the daily average. The company had no specific news.

  • [By Tyler Crowe]

Weatherford International (NYSE:WFT) has been an undead company for several years now. Despite the fact that it hasn’t produced a profitable year since 2012, has been burning through cash for longer, and has more debt than the total capitalization of the business, it somehow hasn’t gone bankrupt. This entire time, management has been promising a turnaround with ambitious plans to reduce its costs, but these efforts have been all for naught as its financial situation continues to worsen.
