Shares of Amarin (NASDAQ:AMRN) soared over 20% today after the company presented at the Cantor Global Healthcare Conference just before noon. Top 5 Clean Energy Stocks To Buy For 2019

Mention the word uranium and most likely weapons of mass destruction come to mind. While you can make plenty of jokes about investment returns in the event of nuclear war, choosing to diversify your portfolio with uranium mining stocks is certainly worth a closer look.

Azincourt Uranium Inc. (OTCBB: AZURF) (TSX: AAZ.V) the Canadian based resource company specializing in the strategic acquisition, exploration and development of uranium properties, recently announced that it has completed the acquisition of an option to gain an undivided 70-percent stake in a mining project in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan. This allows the mining company to increase exploration and production mining in a region known to be rich in base minerals.

The significance of this is twofold: as climate change continues to be a global issue, the demand for clean energy is rising. And as demand rises, so too does the number of nuclear reactors under construction worldwide. In China alone there were 20 nuclear reactors under construction at the end of March, 2017.

While not every growth fund manager is worth following there are several that I greatly respect and can be a wonderful source of stock ideas. Here are a few of my favorite growth investors to follow:

Pat Dorsey of Dorsey Asset Management: Dorsey was the director of equity research at Morningstar for more than a decade an authored two must-read books for growth investors:The Five Rules for Successful Stock InvestingandThe Little Book that Builds Wealth. Dorsey now runs his own asset management business andhe makes concentrated bets in growth stocks that he believes will be able to compound shareholder wealth for years. Chuck Akre of Akre Capital Management: Akre ran the FBR Focus Fund from 1997 to 2009 and produced annualized returns of more than 12% during his tenure, which was far ahead of the 4.4% return of the S&P 500 over the same time frame. Akre launched his own mutual funds in 2009. His style is to buy growth stocks that are trading for value prices and he rarely sells. He also runs a concentrated portfolio. Carl Icahn of Icahn Capital Management: Long-term investors in Icahn’s publicly traded investment vehicle Icahn Enterprises (NASDAQ:IEP) has enjoyed market-beating returns. Icahn’s net worth has ballooned to more than $18 billion because of his knack for finding mispriced stocks. In recent years, he has become an activist investor who buys a meaningful position in a company and then shakes up its Board of Directors and management team in an effort to improve the business. While his fast-paced style isn’t for everybody, I always enjoy looking at his portfolio to see what he has been buying or selling recently.

There are also a plethora of websites out there that make easy to track and rank what notable growth investors are doing, includingWhale Wisdom, TipRanks, and Guru Focus. Growth investors can visit any of these sites and quickly learn what many big-time money managers have been buying and selling in recent months to come up

That being said, Icahn Enterprises (NYSE: IEP) has made the cut on at least three of four of these screens. And since we’re always looking for positive attributes, that bodes well.

Shares of Seaspan Corporation (NYSE:SSW) rallied 15% last month thanks to a bullish analyst note.

    So what

Seaspan’s stock bobbed around the flatline for most of April until an analyst at Deutsche Bank upgraded the containership leasing company from hold to buy toward the end of the month. What stood out was the $13 price target, which was 85% above the bank’s previous one of $7 a share. Driving that bullish view is the expectation that Seaspan’s ability to deleverage its balance sheet and increase the dividend would fuel substantial share price appreciation in the future.

Wall Street had its Cinco de Mayo celebration a day early, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the session with a gain of more than 330 points. Investors were excited about what they saw as a Goldilocks-like reading on the U.S. economy in the April employment report, which featured modest job growth, rock-bottom unemployment rates, and slow enough wage growth to quell inflation fears and give the Federal Reserve latitude to raise interest rates more slowly going forward. Yet some companies still suffered at least perceived setbacks that sent their shares lower. Fluor (NYSE:FLR), Arista Networks (NYSE:ANET), and Appian (NASDAQ:APPN) were among the worst performers on the day. Here’s why they did so poorly.

(NYSE: HII) is a major U.S. shipbuilding company that is involved in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of both nuclear and non-nuclear vessels on behalf of the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. It also refuels, overhauls, and deactivates nuclear-powered ships.

General Dynamics (NYSE:GD) is roughly six times larger and offers a far more diversified list of products and services that includes submarines, aircraft, and armored vehicles, among other things. Both, however, provide key products and services to the U.S. military. That’s normally a fairly consistent business driven by large and often very long contracts. With a supportive administration in the White House, it would seem like now is a good time to take a look at this pair of stocks. But which of these two military-industrial companies is a better buy? Using a Benjamin Grahamlens, the answer may not be what you want to hear.

Friday was an incredible day for the broad U.S. markets after a week of sliding. All the indexes initially started out lowered, but as the session went on positive momentum kept building to put the markets close to even for the week. Others are saying Warren Buffett’s announcement of buying more Apple is another driver. Crude oil made another incredible gain in the session and is nearly at $70. The S&P 500 sectors were entirely positive. The most positive sectors were technology, consumer staples, and consumer discretionary up 1.8%, 1.4% and 1.2%, respectively. The worst performing sector was energy, which was up only 0.3%.

Best Bank Stocks To Invest In 2018

Macquarie was so impressed with Amazon’s “blowout” earnings, the global investment bank raised its 12-month price forecast to the highest on Wall Street and a value that would imply a record milestone for a publicly traded company.

“We believe that even without margin expansion in core retail, the other businesses can drive significant profit growth over the coming years and will make AMZN the first trillion dollar company,” analyst Ben Schachter wrote in a note to clients Friday. “As its core 1st and 3rd party retail sales continue to take significant share from virtually all competitors, its subscription business, AWS, and advertising business are all exceeding expectations markedly.”

The analyst’s new price target is $2,100, which would imply a surge of about 40 percent from Thursday’s close to a market value of $1.02 trillion. Amazon closed Thursday at $1,517.96 and was up 9.5 percent in premarket trading Friday to
1,661.99.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Jim Cramer]

The company’s current return on equity greatly increased when compared to its ROE from the same quarter one year prior. This is a signal of significant strength within the corporation. Compared to other companies in the Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment industry and the overall market, KLA-TENCOR CORP’s return on equity significantly exceeds that of both the industry average and the S&P 500.

  • [By JPMorga]

KLA-Tencor, which is in the process of being acquired by Lam Research, continues to deliver best-in-class dividends as a result of its solid operational performance and strong free cash flow generation. The company’s current dividend yield is at 3.1%.

  • [By Jim Cramer]

The debt-to-equity ratio is very high at 10.70 and currently higher than the industry average, implying increased risk associated with the management of debt levels within the company. Despite the company’s weak debt-to-equity ratio, the company has managed to keep a very strong quick ratio of 3.00, which shows the ability to cover short-term cash needs.
