This despite the first single-day decline of more than 1 percent since October, which occurred in mid-May.

Tech Tops The Ranks

Overall, TD Ameritrade's clients were net buyers for the month and as a result, the May IMX showed a 1.16 percent increase over April, peaking at 6.13. Top Tech Stocks To Buy For 2019: Baidu Inc.(BIDU)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Joe Tenebruso]

Netflix also just recently made inroads into the biggest international market of them all: China. It agreed to a licensing deal with iQiyi, Baidu’s (NASDAQ:BIDU) video streaming service. iQiyi is the most popular video streaming platform in China, with 500 million monthly viewers for its free service and 20 million paid subscribers. And while the terms of the deal were undisclosed, Netflix no doubt stands to benefit from the brand exposure that gaining access to iQiyi’s massive user base will provide.

Hill:We’ll stick with video for a minute or two longer. Now thatiQiyiis public –you’ve talked about this before, is this of interest to you? Is this a stock you’ve already bought, or it’s on the watch list? And for those who don’t know, iQiyi wasessentially spun out of Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU). So, the Google of China spins out the Netflix of China. And as you said before, it seems like, if nothing else, it’s a win for Baidu shareholders, because Baidu still has the ownership stake.

Top Tech Stocks To Buy For 2019: Staffing 360 Solutions, Inc.(STAF)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By James E. Brumley]

We week ago, IT staffing agency Staffing 360 Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:STAF) announced some very impressive preliminary second quarter numbers. Revenue of $47 million was up 14% year-over-year, while gross profits of $8.1 million grew 8% compared to year-ago levels. In both cases, the growth extended a long-term trend.

As impressive as the forward progress for STAF was, though, it still wasn’t the whole story, nor were they the official numbers for the quarter in question. Per this weekend’s press release, Staffing 360 Solutions will give us the official version of the rest of the story on Wednesday of this week — the 11th — in the morning, shortly before a conference call slated for 9:00 am that morning. That announcement will add net income, EBITDA and operational cash flow numbers to the information shared last week, and should extend growth trends on those measures as well.

Staffing 360 Solutions is putting together bigger IT staffing firm at the ideal time. A recent report from technology research outfit IDC, determined that by the end of 2017, two-thirds of the CEOs of Global 2000 companies will have digital transformation at the center of their corporate strategies. How are they going to make that happen? Deloitte recently posted some research of its own that should shed some light on the idea. The giant accounting form observed that “In order to maintain the competitive pace of innovation, companies find themselves engaged in a global war for talent.”

That’s a trend also observed by the Department of Labor, which in its 2014-2024 occupational outlook handbook noted: “Employment of computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow 12 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. These occupations are expected to add about 488,500 new jobs, from about 3.9 million jobs to about 4.4 million jobs from 2014 to 2024, in part due to a greater emphasis on cloud computing, the collection and

Look out ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE:MAN). And Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE:RHI)? You may want to look over your shoulder as well. A young-and-hungry staffing solutions competitor named Staffing 360 Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:STAF) is coming on strong, and just proved it again today. Some of its preliminary fiscal Q2 numbers were reported today, and they extend what’s become a long-term growth streak.

The definition of a roll-up isn’t a hard and fast one, though even the broad brush strokes paint a pretty clear picture. Investopedia defines a roll-up (also known as a “roll up” or a “rollup”) a merger that occurs when investors (often private equity firms) buy up companies in the same market and merge them together. Roll-ups combine multiple small companies into something bigger and better to be able to enjoy economies of scale. Private equity firms use roll-ups to rationalize competition in crowded and/or fragmented markets and to combine companies with complementary capabilities into a full-service business.

It’s also the kind of strategy Staffing 360 Solutions is executing, with great success. For the fiscal quarter ending in November, Staffing 360 Solutions has pre-reported revenue of $47 million, and a gross profit of $8.1 million. Those figures are up 14% and 8%, respectively, year-over-year.

The staffing industry – and the IT staffing industry in particular – is poised for tremendous growth in the foreseeable future, and that rising tide bodes very well for Staffing 360 Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:STAF).

The staffing industry – and the IT staffing industry in particular – is poised for tremendous growth in the foreseeable future, and that rising tide bodes very well for Staffing 360 Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:STAF).

  • [By Matthew Briar]

It’s not blatantly observable anywhere. But, for anyone willing to connect the dots and do the digging in several places, the message is clear — there’s a huge and fast-growing need for more information technology workers, and that plays right into the hand Staffing 360 Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:STAF) is holding.

There are several data nuggets that point in the same direction, but perhaps none as telling as the recent finding from technology research outfit IDC, which found that by the end of 2017, two-thirds of the CEOs of Global 2000 companies will have digital transformation at the center of their corporate strategies. How are they going to make that happen? Deloitte recently posted some research of its own that should shed some light on the idea.
